The podium is complete!
We broke records repeatedly at ONE Apartments to complete the level 4 podium, also known as the transfer slab, marking a major milestone for GWH, and for the team.
The transfer slab is designed to shift the load of the two towers above it and is crucial as it picks up the loads of both towers, transferring the structural load down into the columns, footings, and pilings. The 850mm thick slab was poured in four sections and took several weeks to complete.
Covering 2,500 square meters with over 200 tonnes of steel and around 2,000 cubic meters of concrete, the largest of the four pours involved over 800 cubic meters of concrete, equivalent to around 120 concrete truck deliveries. Each pour took approximately 8-10 hours, totalling around 40 hours of pouring with over 50 team members each time.
